Many years have passed since BBS was only a clearing central. Today, we are a knowledge-based IT company which develops world-leading, secure electronic services for payment and information processing.

BBS is a future-oriented IT company with growth ambitions in the Nordic market, and we modernise society by delivering innovative solutions for payment and information processing. BBS is also the Nordic region’s largest provider of electronic ID solutions, with more than ten years of experience in the area.

For employees with ambitions, this involves huge opportunities for personal and professional development. Our internal employee surveys show that we are very satisfied with our tasks, and find them stimulating and challenging. Our competence needs
BBS considers on an ongoing basis both open and specific applications from newly qualified applicants, as well as applicants with job experience. Among the newly qualified, we employ applicants from Norwegian and international centres of education, primarily in the fields of IT, sales, business development, finance and customer support. BBS expects to recruit between 70 and 80 new employees during 2008. Most of these will be in various IT functions, but we are also significantly increasing our workforce on the mercantile side. 

Personal development and further education
We focus strongly on development of leading edge skills within our various specialist areas and therefore offer specialist courses leading to a qualification. BBS offers financial support to further education as a means of realising personal development plans.

In collaboration with Metier, BBS has established a development program (e-learning / classroom) which also leads to a qualification and up to 30 government approved study credits (www.metier.no/bbs/). In addition, we have established an online academy which offers a variety of product courses, and you can also participate in various specialist professional courses.

Managerial development
Our managers are given the opportunity for internal coaching / mentoring. BBS' regular management development programme includes meetings for managers in which managerial challenges are discussed, so that we can create a common understanding of which goals, values and management principles BBS must be led by. We have also relationships with several external personal coaches who advise our managers with goal-setting and personal development.
