Quality management

BBS has defined the quality work in a separate quality policy. “BBS will deliver the best and most competitive payment and information services in accordance with the customer’s requirements and expectations.” To us, quality management also means establishing procedures, reporting and documentation, project work, stable and secure operation, reliability and environment.

As main supplier of payment services in Norway, banks, authorities and society have expectations of us as guarantor for secure and efficient payment services. We must therefore be characterised by high quality and continuous improvements in everything we undertake to be able to meet the quality expectations of our customers and others.

Quality
BBS is certified by Det Norske Veritas in accordance with the international standard ISO 9001.

The Quality Director sets requirements
regarding quality and improvements and follows up work to ensure that these are implemented. The result is reported to the Managing Director, the board and the audit and security committee.

Environmental and social responsibility
BBS has decided to adapt itself to the requirements in the international environmental standard ISO 14001. An internal environmental audit will form the basis for an environmental report for the company in 2008.

BBS has entered into an agreement with the Norwegian relief organisation FAIR to carry out a 3-year development programme in schools in one of the world’s poorest countries. “Over 20 000 school pupils in Zambia can now gain access to ICT through the cooperation with BBS”.

"Recognised for excellence in Europe"
In 2000, we were awarded the Norwegian quality prize. In 2002, BBS became the first business in Norway to be recognised for excellence in Europe by EFQM, the European quality price model.

BBS has established an electronic quality system in which all documentation is collected. Complaints and deviations are electronically logged. Critical deviations are remedied immediately.

Quality control of the business carried out by BBS is implemented by both external and internal audit bodies.  

BBS is an IT organisation with many years of experience in steering and implementing common development projects for Norwegian banks and cooperation partners. Project management and implementation procedures have been developed over many years and documented in our quality system. Stable and secure operation is a prerequisite for our business. In order to ensure stable and secure implementation of our services, all operating procedures are  documented in our quality system.

BBS depends on trust. Trust is built up through the experiences and perceptions of customers. At BBS, we know that quality is crucial to positive experiences. The overall aim of the security work at BBS is defined in our security policy: “The security work at BBS will deal with the users’ requirements and expectations regarding security, and must satisfy applicable laws, regulations and agreements that have been entered into at any one time”.

BBS grows stronger and becomes Nets

BBS has merged with the equivalent Danish company PBS, and the name of the new company is Nets.

Except for the new name – Nets – there will be no changes for you and your company. Your daily payments and transactions will not be influenced. In the longer term, the merger gives us the necessary force to meet increased international competition, as well as securing Norwegian economic values to have the best and safest treatment.
