(Oslo, 10th Desember 2008) Varner-Gruppen wanted one common solution for the Nordic countries. – We chose DnB NOR and BBS because they were able to offer us a solution that satisfied our demands, says Øyvind Bustnes CIO in Varner-Gruppen.
- We deliver one Nordic payment terminal solution for all four countries, says Kjell Vigdal from DnB NOR and Morten Jensen from BBS.
They have been a part of the bid process since it was announced, and up until the first payment terminals were put into pilot in Norway and Sweden this summer. During the winter, the rest of the terminals will be implemented in Norway and Sweden, and Denmark and Finland will follow next year.
Varner-Gruppen, including Dressmann, Cubus, Carlings, BIK BOK, Vivikes and other well known brands of retail clothing stores for, is established in nine countries. In the bid process, Varner-Gruppen attached importance to the fact that they wanted one contracting party and a common Nordic payment terminal solution with accompanying services for collection and acquiring of card transactions.
On site-service within four hours
It was also important to us that DnB NOR in co-operation with BBS were able to offer us on-site service for the payment terminals in several countries, says Bustnes. This means that if our payment terminals need a replacement or presence of professional maintainers, this will be handled by BBS, says Bustnes.
1300 payment terminals
Varner has 1300 payment terminals in approximately 1100 stores in the Nordics. – For BBS this meets our strategy of being the leading supplier of payment terminals and a leading service provider within the payment and information area in the Nordics, says sales manager Morten Jensen in BBS. We are the only supplier in the Nordics that is able to offer this kind of solution today, and we are certain that other retail chains will follow Varner in the choice of BBS, says Jensen.
